EXTERNSHIPS and MENTORSHIPS
Our mission is to provide high-quality educational opportunities in clinical veterinary medicine.
At Western Edge Veterinary Center the externship experience offers a comprehensive exposure to our extensive caseload. Interaction with Dr. Harris allows students to learn about hospital care policies, some interaction with clients and procedures.
We strive to provide qualified applicants with the opportunity to reinforce, extend, and refine their clinical skills and enhance their diagnostic and therapeutic capabilities.
As a private clinic the amount of actual "hands-on" experience is limited. However, there is an enormous amount of information to be gained by observation and exposure.
On-site housing is provided at no cost to the student.
